Medical Waste Directory

MSIC and MI Dept. of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) Medical Waste Regulatory Program published a directory in 1997 that clarified which waste items generated during health care are regulated medical waste and those that are not.

There are plans to revise this directory in lieu of recent revisions to the administrative rules for medical waste however a limited number of copies are available from the Environmental Health Section, MDEQ, by calling the number below. For additional information, visit the MDEQ web site.
